• By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
• 1. Explain the relevance of AML/CFT to TCSPs and why the sector is
• considered high risk for financial crime.
• 2. Understand how trust and corporate structures can be misused for
• money laundering and terrorist financing purposes.
• 3. Identify the specific legal and regulatory obligations of TCSPs under
• applicable AML/CFT laws and international standards.
• 4. Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence
• (EDD) with a focus on identifying beneficial owners, settlors, trustees,
• directors, and other connected parties.
• 5. Assess the risk level of clients and services using a risk-based
• approach appropriate to the TCSP sector.
• 6. Recognize red flags and suspicious activity patterns specific to trust
• and corporate arrangements.
• 7. Apply procedures to monitor ongoing relationships and detect
• deviations from expected activity.
• 8. Understand the role and responsibilities of the Compliance Officer and
• Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in TCSP operations.
• 9. Prepare and escalate internal reports and Suspicious Transaction
• Reports (STRs) when necessary.
• 10. Maintain appropriate recordkeeping practices to support regulatory
• compliance and assist authorities in investigations.
